Returns

Smith Farm Stores accepts returns of any item within 45 days of delivery of your original order. Returns must be in new, unwashed and resalable condition with all original manufacturers’ tags still attached to receive a full refund. Items returned not meeting the above requirements will be assessed a restocking fee at our discretion. The return of defective, mislabeled or incorrect items need to be authorized by a customer service representative and returned within 15 days of receiving your order.  (574) 772-5220 Instructions, shipping labels, and replacements will be handled on a case-by-case basis to ensure quality service and satisfaction.We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 7 to 14 business days of our receiving your return. Please note that we can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error. 

Packing and Sending Your Return

It only takes a few simple steps:

1. Pack the items along with the packing slip (receipt) securely in a box.  It can be a copy of the original receipt so that you may keep a receipt for your records.  We recommend you use the original box the items arrived in.  You may use another box if you prefer especially if you are not returning all the items that came in the box a smaller box would work better.

2. Affix the shipping label to the outside of the box. Ship items directly to our store. The store address can be found on our web site or on the original packing slip (receipt) or ATTN: E-Store Returns 1002 S Heaton St Knox,IN,46534.

3. Give the package to your mail carrier. You can use anyone you like, we recommend DHL they stop at our store daily and usually have the best rates.  UPS and the USPS stop at our store every day also.

How long does it take for a returned item(s) to receive a refund?


If you have returned an item for refund please allow up to 14 business days for the refund transaction to reflect on your statement.


Exchanges


You may exchange any item in new condition within 45 days of delivery of your order. All manufacturers’ tags must be attached or a restocking fee will be assessed at our discretion. Exchange shipping charges are the same as regular orders.  Example:  If the clothing that you purchased and are exchanging is over $100 and you received the free freight over $100 then the exchange will have free freight as long as the exchange remains over the $100.  We will do this one time only.  After the first exchange you are responsible for shipping.  Please realize that if you did not qualify for free shipping we will have to contact you again for your credit card information before we can re-ship your order.  We do not save anyones credit card information ever!  So if you are exchanging we strongly suggest you re-order the item(s) you would like at www.smithfarmstores.com to expedite the process or contact us in advance with your information so we can re-ship your package as soon as we receive it. If you do re-order the item please send the original back stating return the item.  The item that you re-ordered will go out the day you re-order or on the next shipment out.  If you did not qualify for free freight you will once again be responsible for the freight on the exchange.  If the items that you are exchanging are NOT over the $100 free freight limit then exchange shipping charges are at your expense. We will make every effort to speed your exchange or refund and contact you if there are any questions or problems.   Your package should be shipped via insured and prepaid freight. We recommend that you insure your package(s).  ?The easiest and cheapest way that we have found to do this is DHL as long as it is valued less than $100 it’s included in the freight charge.  We recommend that if you want to exchange something you re-order it online and then ship your original back to us as a return not an exchange.  This will get your item shipped out right away instead of the delay for the shipping and waiting for arrival and then for departure.  

If you send merchandise back to us for exchange please allow 3-5 business days for the item(s) to be exchanged and reshipped.
